Current Work

Inspired by the impermanent and ethereal nature of Cape Cod, my paintings reflect the subtle and significant changes I observe or experience in this mercurial environment. I explore how change impacts what is seen and felt.

This series focuses on the atmospheric, the less tangible—informed by environmental conditions, yet influenced by experiences, memories, and state of mind, to create a sense of place. Paint applied in layers becomes buried within each piece as drips, pencil lines, and raw edges emerge to provide a glimpse of the painting process. The landscape is simplified in composition and palette to bring attention to the history of the work.
